Hello fellow flyers. It has come to my attention that the forum part of our site was discontinued due to lack of use/posting for a period of 30 days. The forum and it's software are/were property of a third party and it was free for us to use. I have created a new forum and it's pretty much the same but I went with a different hosting company. It is still free for us to use, but we may want to post more if we can so it will stay up. Unfortunately you will have to re-register as your user name on the other forum was deleted when the account was deleted. So lets try it again and see how it goes.

Hello everyone, just a reminder that this coming Sunday will be the first fun-fly on the new field. I hope everyone can make it out! After this weekend all SMFC members will have full access to the field.So charge some planes and lets go have some fun!!!!! Thanks Chris

Hello everybody, Well I'm happy to say that everything is moved to the new field. We got the whole area packed, the fence installed, the shed in place and the restrooms in place. First I would like to thank Josh for getting the roller and packing the field today, I also would like to thank Garland, Billy, my brother and my father for today's work. We all had a good time watching every little change in the appearance of the field. Guys this place is amazing and I cannot wait for the grass to grow just a little more so we can start flying. I also need to let everyone know the update on the AMA charter. To make SMFC an AMA chartered club we will have to strictly go 2.4 ONLY. The reason is there is another club within the 3 mile distance from our club and by AMA rules since they were there first and to insure there is no frequency problems we have to go 2.4 only. I know sooner or later everyone will be 2.4 anyway. I did talk to a member today from the other club and we both agreed that this would be the best way to insure there will be no problems as far as frequency matters. So maybe between the two clubs in the near future can put on ONE HECK OF A FLY-IN!!!!!! Attached are a few pics that garland and I took today.
